About the Author

Jennifer Bisek, maiden name Wudtke, was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on February 23, 1970. After growing up there she moved to Minnesota where she resided for many years. Although she loved the northern states she found the winters unbearable. So, deciding the birds had a pretty good idea, she headed south, coming to rest in beautiful Tennessee. Amidst the crystal rivers, rolling green hills and tree-covered mountains she felt at home and has been there ever since.

Growing up, Jennifer spent the majority of her time outdoors. She loved camping, going to the cottage in the summer, fishing off the dock, running the railroad tracks behind her house, climbing trees and classic outdoor games with the neighbor kids. Her other favorite activities were drawing, painting, dancing, gymnastics, singing, writing short stories and writing, directing and acting in plays performed for parents and relatives with a full cast of siblings, friends and cousins.

She has continued most of these things throughout her life, minus climbing trees, Kick the Can and play writing for relatives, of course. However, writing has been the most constant hobby and companion to her through the years. Much of her inspiration has come from her own personal experiences, her firm belief in God and those in her life whom she loves the most, her husband and her four children.

Although Jennifer has been writing her entire life, she has only recently begun to submit poetry. It is her hope that others will enjoy reading her words as much as she’s enjoyed writing them down.
